A downloadable game

Upgraded version of Airline Boss that Tony Kingsmill wrote in 1992 & 2023.

In this simulation game you are the owner of an airline. Using your wise business skills, build up your company with more planes and have them all busy with paying passengers! Don't over spend on advertising and be careful what you charge for flight tickets. When funds allow, invest in new planes to add to your fleet. If it gets tough with topical real life problems (volcanoes, inflation, air accident etc.) then consider selling a plane to liquidise funds!

 Enjoy!!!

I have tried to contact Tony on several occasions via itchio and via email; no reply as yet. Obviously, I will take down this upgraded version if I receive a request from Tony to do so. I am trying to be careful and considerate and only launched here after a while and after reading his source code REM statement saying PUBLIC DOMAIN. I must credit Tony on his clear programming structure; made doing the mods a breeze.

This version adds the following to his Airline business simulation game:

  • Currency formatting throughout the game
  • Limited input routine, replaces standard INPUT commands
  • View game-save files before loading one
  • Option to restart a game
  • Added advertising details to financial report
  • Added advertising total cost to advertising purchasing screen
  • Text mode graphical title screen (yes, really)
  • Option to start with a game-save file without entering name/company first
  • Some small general screen formatting tweaks and the odd bullet-proofing
  • Adjusted printing routines to avoid top line as this often gets chopped off on TVs when running from a real Electron or Beeb

Coming soon; versions for Commodore 64, C16/Plus4, VIC-20 and CBM PET!
